The Morgana Box AutoFold is a compact, automatic folding and gluing system for digital print packaging production. Digital print has changed packaging: runs are shorter, jobs are more varied, and turnaround is critical. Traditional folder-gluer systems are often large, costly, and complex to set up, so the Box AutoFold offers a more approachable route to automated finishing for digitally produced die-cut pieces. It is plug-and-play, and it cuts the manual labor of finishing multiple lower-volume jobs.
Focused on the applications that matter most
Rather than trying to cover everything, the Box AutoFold concentrates on what digitally driven print providers need most: repeatable folding and gluing of common straight-fold packaging and presentation pieces. It delivers consistent results with fewer manual steps, without the footprint or complexity of larger-format equipment.
Key features
- Lower complexity: A simplified rail system supports faster changeover between jobs.
- Built for digital media: Extended ploughs are designed around the realities of digitally cut media.
- Continuous operation: Bottom feeding allows additional die-cut sheets to be loaded from the top during production, so the machine keeps running.
- Integrated control: A touch screen interface brings the machine's operating functions together in one place.
- Compact footprint: The space-efficient design makes automated finishing easier to accommodate.
- Accessible investment: A focused solution for printers and converters growing their packaging offer.
Feeding, folding, and delivery
A top-loading continuous friction feeder with adjustable belts keeps sheets moving. The folding and gluing unit uses narrow conveyor belts for parallel folds on media up to 450μ in the short grain direction, and the included tool kit folds straight-line boxes of various sizes. Finished boxes leave on a delivery table with magnetic stacker guides, which make positioning and stacking easy.
